Atkins Electric Co. was founded in 1998 by Jamey Atkins. An Amelia County local, Jamey knows the city of Richmond and the surrounding central Virginia region well.

Growing up in a family of business owners, Jamey can think of at least 8 relatives who have chosen business ownership as their slice of the American Dream.

From a very early age, Jamey was enamored with the self-sufficiency of owning and running a business. He tried his hand at plumbing like his father but didn’t take to it. Instead, at 14 years old he knew that he would grow up to be an electrician. He invested himself in learning his trade so that he could own his own company in the electrical field.

Atkins Electric has grown quite a bit since its start and has taken on residential and commercial clients in Richmond, Chesterfield County and Amelia County. Jamey’s growing team of electricians are background checked and certified to do the same quality work for which his name has been known for over two decades.

Whether working on custom homes or whatever place where you hang your hat, Jamey is a down-to-earth fellow open to chatting about your electrical needs and maintaining open communication throughout his projects.
